FAQs

  1. You must be 24 years old or older to rent a vehicle
  2. Driver’s License: A valid, state-issued driver’s license is mandatory
  3. Verifiable Phone Number
  4. Proof of Car Insurance with Liability Coverage
  5. Deposit and Rental Fee is paid in advance

The deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle and rental duration. Cash is refunded upon return of the vehicle. We authorize the charge if using a credit card, but don’t process it unless the car isn’t returned as agreed upon in the rental contract. Please be aware that your credit card’s spending limit may temporarily decrease by the deposit amount until the vehicle is returned. This is worth noting if you plan to use your card for other purchases near your credit limit.

Full coverage insurance including liability and collision coverage is mandatory. If you lack this insurance, we offer it at an additional cost.

No, we accept cash and debit card payments

At E’pique Car Rental, transparency is key when it comes to our pricing and rental fees. Prior to signing your rental agreement, you’ll have the chance to review all charges and inquire about any included expenses. Should you have any uncertainties regarding specific fees or terminology within the agreement, our courteous and knowledgeable staff at the counter are readily available to address your queries.

Here are a few factors to consider:

  • Taxes: In addition to the daily rental rate and any potential additional charges, taxes are applicable.
  • Fuel Charge: This fee covers the cost of gasoline used from the tank provided with your rental. If you return the vehicle with less fuel than when you picked it up, the refueling cost will be added to your total. However, refilling the tank prior to return negates this charge.
  • Toll Roads: Renters may incur extra costs for toll road usage. North Carolina’s toll roads operate on a cashless system, meaning payment cannot be made at tollbooths. Instead, toll charges are settled with E’pique Car Rentals. Before your journey, it’s advisable to check your route for tolls to anticipate any associated expenses.
